Moura Luciano, Sucrs.
Ermezinde
Early 1930s, early 1970s
In the 1920s, Luciano Moura made wooden toys in his carpentry workshop. In 1931, he began to make toys out of painted sheet metal, with the help of Firmino Soares dos Reis, who had a great deal of experience in cutting out shapes. Very quickly he replaced the welding of parts with staples, imitating many German toys. He died in 1948. His sons Anibal and Antonio succeeded him, but Anibal soon left the company to set up his own. In the early 1970s, Moura Luciano, Sucrs. went out of business.
